Caracalla, 198-217. Antoninianus (Silver, 22-24 mm, 5.44 g, 5 h), Rome, 215-217. ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Caracalla to right. Rev. VENVS VICTRIX Venus standing left, leaning on round shield set on helmet, holding Victory in her right hand and long scepter with her left. BMC 80. Cohen 608. RIC 311c. A lovely, lustrous example with a bold portrait. Minor flan fault on the reverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
